About this event
Saturday, Oct 11, 2025 Norris Watershed, Observation Point Hike: This hike is filled with Appalachian artifacts, climbs stone steps next to an ancient grist mill and winds up at the best-ever views of Norris Dam. It's the hike to Observation Point in the Norris Watershed. The hike includes a side trip to nearby Reservoir Hill. The hike is about three miles with one short steep part. The hike is rated as moderate; without the steep part the hike would be rated as easy. Meet at the Lenoir Museum at 9:00 am. Lenoir Museum is just off US Hwy 441 (Norris Freeway). If you believe Google, the Rice Gristmill should be operating. For more information, email Bob Fowler at rbfowler65@gmail.com .
